Your best essay yet. Love this one, and love Tolkien's own story.

I didn’t know much about Edith until I read a biography of Tolkien a few years back. But his female characters are written with such nuance and sophistication, and such an understanding of the interior life of women, that I was unsurprised to learn about their relationship and his devotion to her.

Awesome Essay. Love is definitely prominent in Tolkien's life and works. From the love of his mother, to the love between him and Edith, to Beren and Luthien, Tuor and Idril, and Aragorn and Arwen. At the risk of sounding absolutely cheesy: Love truly does conquer all. God Bless
